THE STORY BEHIND THE FRAMES
Adriano Colasanti’s journey began long before Silio Frameworks. As a young man, he worked on Lambrettas and cars, developing an early familiarity with mechanics, metal and precision.
He later studied Architecture and Structural Engineering, where drawing, geometry and calculation became part of the way he approached every project.
The turning point came when he realised that steel could replace paper, and the surface plate could become a new kind of drawing board.
From that moment, framebuilding became the natural meeting point between design, mechanics and craftsmanship.
Today, every Silio frame is shaped by this background: technical knowledge, hands-on experience and a lifelong passion for bicycles.
THE WORKSHOP
Silio Frameworks is based in a shared artisan workshop in Rennes, where different skills, materials and creative practices coexist under the same roof.
It is a working environment shaped by exchange, practical knowledge and a common respect for making things well.
Ideas are discussed, tools are shared and every project develops through time, experience and hands-on work.
The workshop is open to visitors by appointment.
